Frontenac Gris Skin-Fermented

After a long wait, we are so excited to be releasing our “orange” wine, our Frontenac Gris Skin-Fermented.

Orange wines, produced from white grapes left in contact with their skins through all or part of fermentation, have been returning to popularity as winemakers and wine drinkers alike are embracing this traditional style. Ranging from dry to sweet, delicate to rich and intense, there is something for everyone. We produced ours from 100% Frontenac Gris grapes grown on the farm, which were crushed and soaked (chilled) on the skins for 3 days before fermentation. The wine fermented on the skins for 2 days before pressing, where the wine completed fermentation off the skins.

An off-dry white wine of 100% Frontenac Gris partially fermented on skin. It shows hints of grilled peach, tangerine and freshly cut fruit-wood alongside a deeply complex nose.
The finish is long and lingering, encouraging the drinker to enjoy another sip and explore food pairings.
